Operations intelligence — North Carolina manufacturers

Less downtime.
Leaner inventory.
Reporting that runs itself.

We give North Carolina manufacturers one live, trustworthy view of the whole operation — so the cost of a breakdown, the cash trapped in stock, and the hours lost to spreadsheets stop hiding from you.

Who we are

Luanec is an industrial data company for manufacturers.

In plain terms: your operation already produces a huge amount of data — from the machines on the floor to the ERP and the systems in the back office — but it's scattered and disconnected, so most of it goes unused.

We bring it together into one live, accurate view of your operation and turn it into something you can act on: fewer breakdowns, leaner inventory, and far less manual reporting. We're a North Carolina company serving manufacturers across the state, rooted in the Piedmont Triad.

Where the money leaks

You can't fix what you can't see.
And right now, most of it is hidden.

The data is already there — in the machines, the ERP, the spreadsheets. It just isn't connected, so the things quietly draining your margin never show up in one place until it's too late.

Lost output

Unplanned downtime

One unexpected stoppage can wipe out a shift's production — and you usually find out from a report after the cost is already locked in, not in time to prevent it.

A single hour down can run well into five figures
Trapped cash

Inventory you can't get a handle on

Too much of the slow-moving stock, shortages of what you actually need. Working capital sits frozen on the shelf while the floor still runs out of parts.

Carrying costs alone run ~20–30% of inventory value / year
Blind decisions

Numbers you can't fully trust

The floor says one thing, the ERP says another, the spreadsheet says a third. Without one reliable picture, every decision carries a margin of doubt.

No single source of truth across the operation
Wasted hours

Reporting done by hand

Skilled people export, paste, and reconcile the same numbers every week — hours of expensive labor on copy-paste, with a transcription error baked in that nobody catches.

Recurring manual work that scales with every new report
What you get

A clear picture of your operation — and the numbers to act on it.

Not a science project. Four concrete results your team feels in the first weeks, and your leadership sees on the bottom line.

/ 01

Downtime you see coming

Rising vibration, drifting temperature, a stalling line — flagged as they build, so you act before the breakdown costs you a shift, not after.

/ 02

Inventory that matches reality

See what's dead capital and what's about to run out, in real time. Free up the cash tied in excess stock and stop the surprise stockouts.

/ 03

One source of truth

Machines, ERP, and back office in a single live view your whole team trusts — from the floor supervisor to the leadership meeting.

/ 04

Reporting that runs itself

The weekly spreadsheet grind, automated. Numbers reconcile once, correctly, and arrive on their own — freeing your people for work that pays.

The prize

Want the size of the opportunity? Use your own numbers.

Take your worst recurring breakdown and multiply the hours lost by what an hour of downtime costs you. Add the working capital sitting in stock you don't need. That figure is usually where we start — and the first thing we'll do is put a real number on it for your operation, not a brochure estimate.

How it works

Low risk, on your floor, proven in weeks.

No six-figure platform, no dedicated IT team, no year-long rollout. A clear sequence with a decision point at the end — yours.

01

We find where it hurts

We come to you. Together we pin down the single problem costing the most — in real numbers, not opinions — and start there.

02

We connect what you already run

No new machines to buy, nothing ripped out. We read the signals your existing equipment and systems already produce — however old the protocol — and join them to your ERP and back office.

03

We stand up one live view

A dashboard that runs on your network. Your production data never leaves the building — that's the default here, not a premium add-on.

04

We prove the value

A written findings report: what we connected, what it caught, and what it's worth in dollars. Then you decide whether to go further. No lock-in, no pressure.

Why Luanec

Built for the factory floor and the back office at once.

Most providers solve only half of this. IT firms know the cloud but won't go near a 480-volt machine. Automation engineers know the machine but can't build the data layer, the integration, or the dashboards your leadership actually reads. Luanec was built to do both — and to do it on your premises, for manufacturers.

We turn the data your operation already produces into decisions you can act on: connecting legacy machines to modern systems, replacing manual reporting with numbers that update themselves, and giving everyone — from the floor to the front office — one trustworthy view. We're a North Carolina company, rooted in the Piedmont Triad, and close enough to be on your floor when it matters.

What we work with
Legacy & modern machines — Modbus, RS-485, OPC UA, and the gateways that read them
ERP & back-office systems — joined to floor data into one source of truth
Real-time dashboards — status, trends, and alerts your whole team can read
Downtime & anomaly detection — early warning before a failure costs a shift
On-premises by default — your production data stays on your network
Is it a fit

You're who we're built for if…

You make things in NC
We're rooted in the Piedmont Triad and work with manufacturers across North Carolina.
Mixed equipment
You run a blend of older and newer machines that don't talk to each other or to your systems.
Spreadsheet decisions
Important calls ride on reports someone keeps current by hand — and you'd rather they didn't.
A pain that costs
Downtime, inventory, or manual reporting is quietly eating margin, and you want it measured and fixed.
Proof over pitch
You'd rather see it work on your own floor than sit through a slide deck. So would we.

Not sure you fit? That's exactly what the 15-minute call is for — we'll tell you straight, either way.

Start small

See it work on your floor before you commit.

Engagements start with a focused pilot on one machine or one process — long enough to prove the value, short enough to carry almost no risk. If the numbers aren't there, you've lost nothing and you'll know exactly where you stand.

What the pilot delivers
  • + A live dashboard, running on your network
  • + Real data from your own equipment, not a demo
  • + A findings report with the dollar impact
  • + A clear recommendation — and no obligation to take it
Straight answers

The questions every operator asks first.

How quickly do we see value? +
Weeks, not quarters. A pilot typically stands up a live view within days and produces a findings report — with a dollar figure — in two to four weeks. You see whether it's worth more before you spend more.
Will this disrupt production? +
No. We read the signals your machines already produce, passively. Nothing we install stops, slows, or reprograms a machine — if our gear were unplugged mid-shift, your line wouldn't notice.
Does our data leave the building? +
No. The system runs on-premises, on your own network, by default. Manufacturers are right to be careful about production data going to someone else's cloud — so it doesn't have to. On-premises is the standard setup here, not an upsell.
Do we have to replace any machines? +
No — that's the entire point. The job is to make the equipment you already own legible. Replacing a working machine to "make it smart" is exactly the expense we exist to help you avoid.
Our equipment is old and has no sensors. +
That's the normal case, and it's usually workable. Older machines speak protocols a small gateway can read; where there's genuinely no signal, a low-cost sensor can add one. The call will tell us what's possible on your specific equipment before you commit to anything.
What does it cost? +
It scales with what you're monitoring, and we quote it plainly once we've seen your floor — no enterprise contracts, no per-seat licensing, no surprises. The pilot is deliberately low-risk so the decision to go further is based on results, not a leap of faith. You'll always know the number before you say yes.
Start here

Fifteen minutes. No pitch, no commitment.

Tell us where it hurts — a breakdown that keeps recurring, stock you can't get a handle on, a report that eats the week. We'll tell you straight what's possible, and what it's worth.
